I started using Mobil one in the eighties. It has proved itself over and over again. Driving from California to New Jersy, it has kept my vehicles running over 200.000 miles. This maintaining the change schedule. Started with an 84 Olds, upgrades to 350 Cu in 400 hp, to my daily driver 05 Liberty and my 05 Silverado 5.3.

I had a quick rattle on startup 2007 Mustang 4.6 L @ 58K miles. I tried other premium oil and filters and was beginning to think it was a more serious mechanical issue. I switched to this oil and a (another brand ultra-synthetic) filter (because they don't sell Pennzoil filters in my area), and the noise was instantly gone. From the first crank, no more. Startup is smooth, quick, easy. Motor and car run noticeably smoother. The product says it provides the same protection as 5W-20, so I'm covered there. Looking forward to trying this stuff out.

This is a great oil that I went back to since todays synthetics make most engines tick like crazy. Also was using a full synthetic on a newer engine with only 15,000 miles on it that had to have the tranny pulled due to a bad leaking rear main seal. Hopefully Pennzoil will stop the leak with the new main seal ? Lost faith somewhat on other synthetics. Oh, and I need to correct some of the old timers on here. Pennzoil is NOT Pennsylvania Crude. They are located in Texas. Where have you old timers been ? In a cave ?

Swapped from Mobil 1 5W30 to Quaker State Synthetic. Immediately noticed the 5.0 rattle in my '22 F-150 has disappeared. The truck also seems more responsive. I've used this brand in the past with no issues, the price makes it a no brainer.

I'm the second owner but Mobil 1 was used since day one. Purchased it in '05 with 100,000 on it. Just turned 300,000. Only major engine repair was an intake manifold at 150,000. Usual plugs, coils, brakes and other maintenance items. Original motor and tranny. Oil changes at regular intervals around 5-7000 miles. This is my personal & work vehicle that I use every day. Tow my boat or my dump trailer with ease. I feel that Mobil 1 played a large part in expanding the life of this engine. Even my mechanic can't believe that it just keeps going. Thanks for a great product.

I purchased my 2005 Toyota Avalon brand new and have had Toyota do the regular maintenance for the life of the car. I always ask to see the filter when they change it for two reasons. To make sure the guys didn't get lazy and not change the filter, and to see the quality of the oil and how much funky stuff was taken out. I asked the service manager, what oil they use for my car and if he would recommend a better/different oil. He said they always use Mobil 1 bulk oil (at this particular dealership) and if I wanted to switch to a full synthetic he would recommend the High Milage. So I researched a little more myself and decided that the next oil change I would switch. He said I could go 7500 miles instead of the normal 5,000 mile service interval but I told him lets keep it at 5,000 miles for the first oil change. When I asked to see the filter, the Mobil 1 high milage had broken down all kinds of sludge and I was surprised how nice the oil looked. Normally at a 5,000 mile oil change, the oil would be black and thin. This was quite thick and had slightly darkened but was still brown in color. I am impressed with the quality of this product and how much more quite and how smooth my engine is running. I wish I had made this switch sooner.

I guarantee that if i am blindfolded, i could correctly guess which is this oil vs mobil one, castrol edge, or others. I would get the guess correct every time. Rubbing between thumb and index finger, you can feel the distinct slickness, like teflon . I have seen my temperature gauge go down, and fuel milage increase. I think mobil one is just fed from the popular bandwagon, people just following the crowd without no independent thought. I can get mobil one cheaper than this, yet i choose super synthetic. I have that much faith in it. This oil is OFTEN MIS-CALLED mobil one in reviews. IT IS NOT mobil one

I bought a 2016 E250 bluetec with over 150k miles. The dealer had done all oil changes but I do my own. I've used nothing but Mobil1 on my vehicles for 25 years and have never had any serious engine issues. Mobil1 and mechanics recommend ESP 5w-30 for the E250 diesel Mercedes (it has had the emissions update), so it's what I'm using. No issues whatsoever and I doubt there ever will be any. The car consistently gets around 40 mpg, too, with averages higher than that on road trips. Thanks for a great product, Mobil.

Mobil 1 dropped the LL04 cert for this product when BMW partnered with Shell but it retained equivalent specs for Mercedes (229.51) , VW (504/507) and Porsche (C30). I ran this in my 335d and use it in my late model 535d. The ESP line is possibly the most advanced product offered by M1. I would never hesitate to use ESP 5w30 or even the 0w30.

Recommended by Subaru Mechanic for the WRX 2.0 direct injected tubro charged motors. With So many new car manufactures going to direct injection technology, it is a mystery to me why Mobil is ignoring this growing segment...........No one wishes the expense, and issues that go with carbon buildup on the backs of the valves of these engines. Mobil is in a great position to beat the manufactures at their own game, as they do not seem to be concerned with carbon build up as it is causing issues mostly beyond there warranty periods. Mobil could really clean up, if they would address this and advertise this positive aspect of this formulation.
