I replaced the Axle Pivot bushings, Radius Arm bushings, Sway Bar bushings and the Coil Springs in my 1993 Ford F-150 with parts ordered from Advance. The parts were an exact fit and made a HUGE difference in the trucks ride and handling. Installation went smoothly, the hardest part was pressing out the old Axle Pivot bushing and even that wasn't to terrible to do with a ball joint press. It was definitely worth the effort and cost to perform the work.

Replaced worn bushings on F150 p/u. I used two appropiate size sockets, washers and a long bolt w/nut to extract the old and press in the new. Worked great. Will observe the performance of product going forward. Was pleased that the store site had items in stock. Order was pulled and waiting for pick up. That's the way to go...

I was getting a "clunk" in the front end when turning from left to right. Being 19 years old (... the CAR, not me), I suspected worn ball joints. Especially since they're non-lube-able. After changing uppers and lowers on both sides, I still had the clunk (Grrrrr). Turns out, it was the axle pivot bushings. The rubber was still intact, but the inner metal sleeves were "wallowed" out (enlarged), and there was slop between the bolt and the bushing. Lesson learned: do your homework on diagnostics before you just start changing parts. Tip: jack up car by the frame, let the suspension hang, then grab the tire top and bottom and pull/push. While I yanked and heard the clunking, my son could see the play/movement in the axle pivot area. Oh well! Now with new ball joints, axle pivots, radius arm bushings and sway bar end link bushings, I hope to have a trouble free front end for another 150K miles.
