Had no problem installing this shock absorber. It fit well on a 2005 VW New Beetle TDI. I'm very satisfied with its ride and handling. Feel confident going through a bump that it will be smoothed out.

This doesn't fit my 2011 Volkswagen Jetta TDI the bolt hole of the shock is 1/2" diameter and the bolt it self is only 7/16" which makes a terrible rattle noise riding down the road plus the width on the bottom of the shock is too narrow which allows the shock to go side to side. Not a good match at all.

Put these on the rear of my VW Jetta Mk VI with 170,000 miles on it. Rear wheels had gotten cupped from bad shocks. So far so good on new tires. Definately reduced rear bounce and sway.

Installed on my 2002 VW Jetta wagon and Golf. Then on my friends Jetta sedan after he felt the ride of my car. Great replacement for a much better than OEM ride shock. I do some SCCA solo autocross for fun while sticking to a tight budget. Limited lifetime warranty. Works great with Energy Suspension Bushings Kits. Made the cars handle better than when new. Most importantly, no more complaints from the wife, so now life is good.
