    The filter comes with a rubber ring/gasket (rectangular) that is supposed to sit on top and give a better air seal around the edges. The product I purchased was either low quality, or kept poorly because this flimsy/brittle ring snapped upon placement. It also comes with a tube of sealant to help with the job. Again something was wrong because when I squeezed the tube, I quickly discovered that it had completely dried inside the bottle and a thick wax noodle was slowly protruding out the end. I ended out throwing the seal and sealant away and just putting the filter in like any other paper model. One cool side note: your car will sound different when it accelerates and sucks in all that air. It's pretty cool.
