BOUGHT THIS TO REPLACE THE OEM PART THAT HAD 225,000 MILES - IT IS MADE IN CHINA BUT EXTERNALLY IT IS 100% IDENTICAL. I BENCH BLED THIS CYLINDER AS PER MY FORD SHOP MANUAL INSTRUCTIONS AND BLED IT ONCE MORE AFTER INSTALLATION. IT WORKED PERFECTLY. I HOPE IT WILL LAST AT LEAST 50,000 MILES.

This product really helped me out. Car suffered brake failure on Saturday afternoon. I ordered online on Saturday night and picked up my local store on Sunday morning. Prying off the plastic reservoir from the old master cylinder was a little tense but putting it in a vice and then prying upward with a large screwdriver supported on a small block of wood did the trick. The bench bleeding pieces were included in the box, but the plastic tubes both needed a little heat so that they could be pushed onto the plastic nipples. After that one was a little loose and had to be secured with a small zip tie. Car was back on the road by Sunday afternoon.

The only problem I had installing this master cylinder was removing the reservoir from the old master cylinder and installing it on this reman unit; it was stubborn and more difficult than I had imagined. Patience and persistence required.
