These are MUCH easier and cheaper than replacing motor or entire regulator. They are a tight fit but that is by design. Clean all the grease and plastic bits out with alcohol or other mild solvent. Put all three plugs in plastic gear housing then work the metal gear into the space that is left. It wont just drop in. Use a little force and it should be easy to get started. Put some grease on the gear teeth, worm gear on the motor and shaft the gear turns on and reassemble the assembly. My experience is if you have a problem with one window you will probably have a problem with others very soon. The plastic in these plugs gets old, brittle and eventually cracks. You may want to go ahead and replace the plugs on windows you use a lot before they break at an inconvenient time. Once you do one the rest are much easier.

I used the gear plugs on my 1993 corvette headlight motor. Seems to work great. Check Chris Fix on UTube for instructions.

These fit the old explorer just fine and restored life to the power window. Why is it the drivers side that goes out? Must be all those cheeseburgers from the drive through. Not too hard to fix with these. Advance provides the right part for the task.
