This is the correct front axle U joint (not driveshaft or transfer case U-joint) for a Dana 50 IFS front axle in a 1996 Ford F250 with a Heavy Duty 4600lb Axle. The correct spindle nut socket to get to the U joint and to properly retorque the inner bearing is Performance Tool W1273 and was in stock at Advance Auto Parts. Great prices & in stock parts for heavy duty Ford trucks, a perfect combination !

Replaced my old, OEM, nasty, worn out U-joints on my stock drive shaft at 125000 miles. The clips seemed like a snug fit but the kit comes with variety. I ended up picking the copper-colored ones. I installed them 1000 miles ago and no problems whatsoever.

- Grease fitting in the cross allows for easy maintenance and the flexible use of the whole assembly
- Snap rings are held to strict tolerances to ensure proper cup position and retention

fairly well made, I think - but the specs are not the same. I wish I would have measured with a caliper before I installed. the U joint is longer by ~ 1/8" - and therefore impossible to get the G clips in. It didn't fit into the drive shaft end, it did however fit into the slip yoke. 2011 silverado 1500 2WD, 4L60E.
