Our SUV heater wasn't getting hot. I purchased this part and it was identical to the old- except this one works as expected. The price was good too. There are less expensive parts from Advance and others, but I would rather not take my chances in the winter!

I've had this in my car for a yr and failed already. Put on stove and it works. I poured 220 degree water and spring didn't move.

I purchased a used Equinox that the seller said had a temperature issue. He said he had replaced the thermostat and done a few other things only 3 months earlier. I pulled the thermostat. It was all shiny and new looking. And stuck open. No wonder the car ran cold. Unacceptable.

The wife says the temp gauge went all the way to hot and stayed there. Got an overheat code on the reader. Thank god she pulled over and shut down. Checked everything out and all seemed well. Drove it home and all seemed fine. Fluids full, inside cabin heat good, no problem. Drove for another month without issue. Then out of the blue overheat again, idling in the driveway. This time had the opportunity to grab upper radiator hose and it was cold! Stuck thermostat. I had just replaced it about a year prior with a complete cooling flush. So yeah, junk.
