A 12 point 1 1/16" socket will not work on this switch. The flats on the side of the switch were too small for the socket to engage and tighten the switch. Maybe a 6 point socket would have worked but most people don't have a deep 1 1/16" six sided socket. I had to reinstall my existing switch because I did not want to go back and find a better switch that was machined properly. Was totally po'd that they sell this poorly made item. It's like no one ever did any quality control to see if the designated socket size would actually engage and turn the switch.

long story short, this is not the standard size of a oil pressure sensor. The special socket 1 1/16 rounded deep well socket would not fit over this. Ended up breaking due to difficult install location and that fact that it did not fit. Bought another brand from a different store. Perfect fit....If you are buying this and the socket at the same time, double check that it fits before leaving the store.....

I bought this sensor because of the lifetime warranty and I had a discount coupon. These are common to go bad. Part does come with the screen that goes underneath it. Part is not the same size body as the original so it will take a special socket to install it, factory sensor is 1 1/16 or 27mm.

According to the website, this was supposed to be the right part for my Buick Rainier. When I went to install it threads seemed wrong and the connector was completely wrong. I got the right product elsewhere and Advanced Auto wouldn't let me return it, so I'm out almost $50
