I was concerned that a reman wouldn't be as tight as a new gear but this one is quite nice. I wasn't looking forward to paying $600 on a premium gear, so I am quite pleased with this one.

Terrible product. Came with bolts that were inferior to the stock ones (much thinner and cheap metal). Instead they gave bolt sleeves to make them fit the stock bolt holes in the frame but they did not fit the threading on the actual steering gear box that they came with. Unfortunately no other stores around had a gear box in stock so I had to tap the threads and make it work. No quality control to be found with this part it seems.

The remanufactured Steering gear I purchased was defective. It had a few drops of oil coming out of the pitman shaft while sitting on my workbench overnight. I wrongly assumed pressure would seat the seal after I installed it. Ended up leaking worse than the one I removed. Advanced employees quickly replaced it with another that appears to be leak-free. I will know after a few weeks of use. Having to do the work twice is a pain.
