    CarQuest says up to OEM No it isn't 14volt out put is OEM not 12volt this alternator ruined my battery costing me over190$ on top of having to explain the whole situation a dozen times to get only the money I spent on alternator; still I had to wait weeks to get m money back even though I used a debit card.Won't be shopping with advance again unless no one has it in stock but them & cash only!!!!

    I paid good money for this part that failed before the mechanic could back it out of the stall at the shop. Be aware that replacing on a BMW X5 requires the frame to be dropped. A reputable shop did the work as I supplied the part from Advance Auto. The bearings failed in less than 5 minutes and began smoking. I was able to get my money back for the part but was out of the additional $160 to remove and replace the bad part i was sold.

    Bottom Line not recommended
