Just installed this sensor. Not real sure how it's gonna work. Will update after a few miles.

Do your research before you try to clean these things. I ruined my old one by hosing it down with carb cleaner. NO NO! There is a special MAF sensor cleaner you buy at the parts store for cleaning these things, use it or you'll be sorry. As for the part, it's easy to install and instantly corrected my rough idle after resetting the codes. Car hasn't run this good in years!

I bought this unit a few months ago and shortly after install started receiving "too lean" codes. I assumed the sensor was good, so replaced the fuel pump and intake manifold gaskets to correct the problem. Nothing worked, so I ordered a different sensor...problem fixed. Wish I could return for a refund!

After installing in my '01 Windstar it caused the transmission to have issues at the shift points (would go back and forth between gears) and caused the check engine light to come on with a too rich code. Cleaned my old one thoroughly with carb cleaner and reinstalled it and those problems went away.
