I have used this for 2 fluid change s in my 2012 Camry SE.Have put 63,000 miles on tranny since using this fluid. Drained Toyota WS fluid at 51,000 and it was black as night and felt more tacky than slick. After the first drain of Castrol fluid it was still red and felt just as slick as the day I put it in.

Great product, I don't like to do a transmission flush on older high mileage cars so I just do a drain and fill every other oil change.

I was in need of some transmission fluid for my 2004 Nissan Altima 2.5L. the owner's manual says to use only Nissan Matic-D fluid, but I'm never want to subscribe to the notion that only Nissan can sell me replacement fluid. I've used both Castrol and Valvoline when changing the transmission oil, and to me, it just seems to Castrol works slightly better. I'm sure they're both viable alternatives, and both state that they meet the Matic-D requirements. I don't have a single negative thing to say about the oil. It works, last a long time and that's about all you could ask of it.

Very impressed with the features. This is above and beyond the requirements of my vehicle, without braking the bank. Take a look at the coverage for yourself I will definitely use it again.

I rebuild my own transmissions and the friction materials used for clutches and bands hasn't changed much in 25 plus years. This fluid was listed as not compatible with any vehicle I put in the search back to 1975. I used this in a built 2006 4L60E, the shifts feel nice and firm as they should. Better than other brands of fluid used in this same transmission.

I have been using this since I built a new trans for my daily driver. I have used this 4 times in a row, the fluid seems to hold up well. I do not see much "sludge" in the bottom of the trans pan (there is always some in an automatic, but it does seem to be notably less on this fluid). It still looks mostly clean and of a nice slightly darker pink color when I flush it around 36,000 miles. I have never seen this fluid burn or discolor badly, though I do not run extreme intervals. I am confident that I could push this fluid well beyond the 36,000 mile recommended interval from GM for my 2008 car ( I know a lot of newer cars have longer intervals) but do not see a reason to take the risk. Dexron VI is a good fluid spec anyway, buy I view the extra few dollars for a good synthetic as a small insurance policy to keep my transmission healthy. I would recommend the fluid, but I would also recommend looking for a sale price on it. Also, ignore the 2 star rating, seems irrelevant, and is only disappointment that Dexron VI is not a lower spec fluid? Not actually a review of this fluid.

The picture suggests Dextron II or III. I Suspect the picture is correct since I could not find the Valvoline Dextron VI in gallons on site.
