My 08 Avalanche while driving informed me to shut off the engine due to low oil pressure. Did that and had it towed home. Looked online and it all pointed to the oil pressure switch. Cheap enough part, but behind engine and tough to get to without proper tools. Bought a special socket and completed the job in about 15 minutes, which isn't bad. It's uncomfortable to do and you need small hands, but manageable. Replaced the filter, which is under it and that was quite dirty. That likely was my problem but no point doing just one while there. Started truck back up and got a good pressure rating. It did what it was supposed to do, but does not match the picture. Picture shows a brass fitting with thread sealant. It arrived aluminum with not thread sealant. The part I took out, was identical.
