Two of the were purchased to replace the struts on my '00 Impala. When my trunk is released, it barely pops open. It is hard to lift up because of resistance in the struts, and is hard to close. I would not recommend this brand. On a plus side, they were extremely easy to install. I used a screwdriver to pop loose the old ones and a slight twisting motion. These snapped right into place.

FEQ Struts provide nitrate treated black rods. Chrome rods are not resistant to environmental factors neither environmental friendly as nitrate treated black ones. Plus, visually black color rod compliments the product better than grey chrome color.)
Product Features:- The two point spray gun paint system seals extremities and hard to reach places of the body of the gas spring for better protection against deterioration of the paint and corrosion.
- Rods are machined on centerless grinding and polishing machines and also treated with centerless rollers to obtain a smooth surface for the long life cycle that Tuff Support gas springs have.
