Getting the allen to hold the shaft was what caused the problem in the old link. This link has a second interior nut to hold the shaft while you tighten it.

OK, I bought this to replace my old car's sway bar link while replacing strut. This looked cheap, locally available, so I thought this would be a great replacement. But it was not. The threaded part is actually a ball joint inside, so just screwing something on it won't work. The entire bolt will spin. So, you have to hold some part to prevent it spinning and the small nut inside is for that. But that nut is too weak. It's 14mm in size, but edges are not sharp so usual metric wrenches will just strip the edges when you try to torque the outer nut. Also, outer nut is self-locking nut, and requires a lot of force to screw it in. So, combined with above nut, inner nut will most likely totally stripped before you can even twist the outer nut half way in. So, buy some other product, or if you must use this, look for some other nut for outer nut that is NOT self locking. Then it will not require a lot of force to screw. Just use locking washer instead. Anyway, I am returning this.
