I didn't read the temperature properly when the coolant was cold and therefore the computer didn't out put enough fuel to immediately start the engine, this caused start up hesitation, upon warm up of coolant, it functioned as it should have. This issue was resolved using a used OEM coolant temperature sensor from the junkyard...

This is listed as exact fit for the 5.7 Tundra, mine is 2008. Note that this does screw into the water housing, but the plug is NOT the same. While it is close, the 2 little tabs on the side of the sensor plug are about 2mm higher than the receiving plug on the engine harness, so it will not plug in.

Tried not to buy this product based on previous reviews. But I was at the store and thought maybe I would be luckier Threads seems to incorrect. Ended up using the old one till I can order OEM. Advance should inspect parts from this manufacturer before stocking them. Waste of my time.
