    It stops the car. But the piston doesn't retract far enough to allow the wheel to spin freely when there's no load. With the transmission in drive, the drive wheels off of the ground, the engine running and no one pressing the brake, it STILL stops the wheel (even with a smooth new rotor) after about 30 seconds while the wheel on the other side keeps spinning freely. It SHOULD retract completely so there won't be any drag. Also, one of the sliding pin boots doesn't fit tightly and may allow moisture and crud to get in and cause further sticking. Quality control needs to improve. It would help if they were remanufactured in the USA. I'd be willing to pay a few extra dollars for improved quality and performance on the FIRST installation.

    The quality of this brand off caliper is all over the map, I purchased one of these 6 months ago to find missing pieces in the accessory bag and the one I bought today had everything, but when I went to install the caliper the brake line screw hole had very shallow threads (almost no threads) and the bleeder valve was sticking way out so when I removed the valve to inspect the threads in the hole, it was the same thing which resulted in the bleeder valve screw having mashed threads that could not be repaired even if I wanted to.

    Bottom Line not recommended
