Product came just as shown in the photo. This is not the correct description for the products intended use. The part is used for the remote oil filter installed by Ford at the factory. Took a lot of double checking Dorman part numbers to make sure this part was correct.

Purchased this part online from advanced auto, easy purchase and delivery. Part looked good when I got it, installation took some effort but no real problems until I turned engine on to check for leaks. Leaked horribly! Finally took it back off to inspect closer, the aluminum end that went into oil filter housing had a nasty burr on it from manufacturing process that was hidden by o-ring (o-rings are junk too). Was in a jam, so had to grind the burr off and re-install, still leaked; doubled up on o-rings and it works. Poorly made, bad fit. Would like my money back, but not worth reinstallation.

This fails. Third one in 6 years. Better to get Ford OEM. But they did warranty it with replacement and was cheaper than Ford part.

These hoses match the factory hoses just fine. I had no problem with the part and it sealed up my oil leak as it should. The dealer charges $200 to $300 for installation so I figured it would take some time to install and it did. The hoses attach to the block on my 5.4 Expedition with just 2 bolts that are easy to reach with a socket wrench and extensions. The end that attaches to the filter mount are more challenging. There are 2 bolts to be removed from the filter bracket that are visible from the filter. Then there are 2 more bolts that need to be removed from the bracket that are accessed by reaching in the grill opening by the license plate. Then there is one sneaky bold that is on the back side of the bracket that needs to be loose in order for the old hose to disconnect from the oil filter bracket. Its not a hard job but takes more than 5 minutes. The fit of the hoses was perfect.
