Description
Dayco No Slack Automatic Belt Tensioners are built to outperform and outlast competitive OE parts. This specific Dayco Automatic Belt Tensioner is manufactured with a specially coated patented flat wire spring to allow the internal tension to be concentric, thus providing a more even degree of constant tension. The heavy duty cast aluminum spring case resists cracking and fatigue. Each component is built to resist rust, endure the toughest of conditions while promoting quieter performance and longer life. Dayco's specially patented Deflected Arm Plate dampens arm movement, prolonging the life of the tensioner by limiting the amount of rotational movement. Another patented feature is Dayco's Nylon Pivot Bushing, which keeps internal components in constant contact to maintain proper tensioner alignment. This tensioner contains a metallic locator pin built to withstand extreme drive demands and properly locate the tensioner for installation.

Litens - Serpentine Belt Tensioner: 1 Piece (Part No. 999116A)
Description
Litens was the Original Equipment (O.E.) supplier of this part and offers this "O.E. Exact"* tensioner for the aftermarket. This popular tensioner designed for Chrysler / Dodge and Jeep vehicles, looks, fits, and performs like the original part being replaced. The original tensioner was sold with a mounting bracket (only available from the dealership) which can normally be reused when replacing the tensioner. This tensioner has been upgraded to include an integrated pulley bolt/washer. O.E. Exact - Original Equipment manufacturers prohibits the use of their part number or logo on parts sold to other customers. Therefore, the Litens aftermarket part may have minor cosmetic differences but still be exact in performance and design. Choosing The Correct Replacement Part: Both the original equipment and Litens aftermarket tensioner use a round spring versus a flat spring.

After returning two of the versions offered in the store I bought this product and am very happy. The one offered in the store shows "exact fit" however is labled "light duty" and is slightly cheaper. Both of the light duty versions chattered from not holding enough tension, one squealed on startup and I had to move the ignition coil over with washers as it was bigger than stock. This OEM like version is just like stock and works great! It's well worth having to order it online and spend a few more dollars.

This product is working great so far. I wish it came with a new nut but my old one worked fine. I have never changed this before but it didn't go too bad.
