I purchased a Carquest remanufactured alternator for my 2001 Camry on 7/18/2021. I installed it myself and so far, after a week, it works great. Total time to remove and replace is about 30 minutes if you have experience, if not, it could be done in under an hour after watching a YouTube how to video.

Make sure you check the threaded holes first before you start your bolts on assembly. Mine bound up because the holes had too much protective finish in them and the bolt snapped off. OUCH. Just a little hurdle to jump but the alternator works great and the core return was smooth and uneventful.
