The kit is very good but the outer clamp screw head hits when driving and popped the boot open. This side must have the low profile clamp.

The Dorman 614-700 boot is of pretty good quality. The boot is made of a heavy material, and is not flimsy. The boot also snaps together very good. The Loctite boot glue, that come with the boot, is a very strong acting glue to bond the split-design .... the boot is extremely well-bonded, impossible to tug open, when using the supplied Loctite glue, The bearing grease also seems like decent quality as well, The weakness of the supplied accessories is the two clamps that are supplied ... especially the smaller thinner clamp. After using the smaller thinner clamp on my boot repair, IT FAILED AND SNAPED when I was only lightly tightening it. Luckily, I had a second Dorman clamp of the same make and size and tried again, buy this time was very careful tightening both the Dorman supplied clamps. I will be replacing both clamps with better made NORMA clamps. The Dorman supplied clamps were not great quality clamps, don;t seem to be able to take much torque before snapping, and overall didn't give me much security that I had tightened down the boot clamps enough. Outside of the poorer quality included two different sized clamps, this Dorman Repair CV Boot was a great choice to fit the torn CV boot on my 2001 Buick Century. I wasn't as easy to install as some had led me to believe, as the hardest part seemed to be just removing the original two GM boot clamps with out the needed cutting tools. Just don't try to glue the boot in one complete step, you'll get glue all over (and this is like "Crazy Glue", a mess to get on anything (WEAR GLOVES). Glue the boot a little at a time, and snap it closed, hold for a 30 seconds, and move on to gluing another small section! Overall ... I would highly recommend the Dorman CV Boot Repair Kit (Just use better clamps if possible - and also it's a good idea to 180º stager the clamp screws from each other, to possibly avoid any possible shaft balance issues)

The clamps supplied with the boot are difficult to work with, the fit is a 5 on a scale of 10, the boot material is too flimsy. So far it holds the grease

I bought this to replace a torn CV boot on my Audi Quattro. The bands supplied are cheap and impossible to get tight! Also the boot barely fit around the shaft and was missing a ridge that holds it in place. a 30min job turned in to 4hrs including a trip to the parts store to buy new bands. Next time I will spend the extra money and get the proper boot not this universal one
