i put this in my 99 mercury cougar after my stock master cylinder malfunctioned resulting in my brakes being applied during high speed (55mph +) and staying applied for an hour or so later (until the cylinder re-expanded). this was only after i replaced the pads and rotors all around. this cylinder worked great. the only problems with it were the lack of usable instructions (installed via youtube) and it was extremely hard to bench bleed even after watching multiple youtube videos and consulting the 2 lines in the directions multiple times. so after only getting the backs to bleed and 45 minutes of struggling i installed it on my car (which was relatively easy (15 minutes if that) and bled the whole system with a vacuum gun rented from advance. i bled until i pulled new fluid through the lines and once i reached that point i pulled another .5 that amount. since replacing the master cylinder my brakes have worked perfectly, although i havent really seen a major shift (positive or negative) in brake performance. its pretty much an oem part and functions as you'd expect.
