Whatever you do do not buy this just today i changed this exact one out of my bug the plastice propeller exploded in my car the propeller was melted and fragmented everwhere inside the motor this will cause a coolant blockage leading to over heating i still have a clog i cannot find so far because of this part i have since replaced it with a metal propeller night and day difference

Pump its self looked built well. The strange thing was the broken one had a plastic impeller. The one I received from the other store was a metal impeller and still in the packaging. This pump was built to last.

This is no where near the factory part. There is a water flow cutout on the factory that is not on here, which means you will get less flow. Also, The original bolts will not fit as they are counter sunk and this part isnt set up for countersunk bolts.

This is not the right part for 1.9/2.0 BEW/BHW engines in 2004-2006 VWs. The sprocket is 0.5 cm too narrow for the timing belt, and the cover support post is 0.5 cm too short. It doesn't fit. The local store ordered two to be sure they were not misboxed and they were identically wrong.

This part may work for other engines, but it does not fit the 1.9L TDI engine. The distance from the mounting surface to the top of the toothed drive cog is about 1/4" too long and it interferes with the timing belt covers. The API pump is more expensive, but is a more accurate replication of the OEM pump.
