4 years ago I put (one) on to replace an 18 yr old German one (jetta)and left the other original 18 yr old cyl. on the car cause it was still good. 2 years later they both were leaking. Replaced with 2 new ones (tru torque) and in 2 more years both were weeping and the bleeders were frozen. Replaced with 2 more new tru-torques.(I'm a dufus but it's close to my shop) One was defective, the bleeder would not shut off, bad drilling. Returned it. My conclusion is that the OE Euro (unavailable without a major hunt)cylinder lasts 18-20 years and the [*] replacements last 2-3 years. ADVANCE....I'd gladly pay a couple bucks more for a better part. At least ADVANCE doesn't put the cheap part in a TTRW box and pretend it's a prime part like some other parts stores!!!! Brett

From The 459 beers a year average great NH
Bleeder on these things do not hold up, the slightest amount of torque will ruin threads internally , rendering this piece of junk useless. On my 3rd one in 2 months. DONT BUY THIS BUY A BETTER ONE!
