    The boot is a cheap plastic. The bumper does fit over the strut, you just have to push it hard. The design is horrible, and the plastic boot i received does not look exactly like the picture. The ends are different. I received NO tie wraps, luckily i had my own. One box did not have the plastic retainer ring. I had to make another trip back to AAP. They did find one from a different model that would work, after I suggested they look for another strut mate boot kit. It was the most affordable boot kit, so I used it. If my car was newer, i would have forked out more money for a better one.

    Replaced the stretched front bellows and cracked bushing stops on my 2005 Mini Cooper S. Didn't plan to replace them, but when I got the front struts off, I noticed the old ones needed to be replaced badly. These fit fine once I realized which way the bushing had to be oriented. So far so good, but only time will tell durability...no reason to think these won't last.
