On line the seal was shown as an exact replacement part. When I tried to install the seal it was to small. it was 2.176 OD, 1.49 ID and the original is 2.32 OD, 1.67 ID. I took it back and the sales person confirmed that the listing in the computer was incorrect. I went to Toyota for the correct seal.

installed three times and kept leaking oil after a few miles. Tried just the seal the 1st time, seal and bushing on the 2nd time, and sanded torque converter on the 3rd time. Nothing worked until I got an original GM Delco seal. Problem solved.

I was replacing my engine when I decided to replace the torque converter seal. The first part they gave me was too big. I was in a hurry so I went back after I found this part to exchange it. I got my engine in and took it for a test drive only to have this seal blow out in about ten minutes. I will know for sure shortly once I get the transmission dropped out and check it. There was transmission fluid gushing out of the window where you bolt the flywheel to the torque converter so I'm pretty sure this part failed.
