I self-installed a pair of these in the front of my 2001 Acura CL-S. I also installed a pair of Suncores to fit the rear at the same time. I was wary in general of Quick-Strut products. Overall I am pleasantly surprised with the performance. The units are solidly built and appear to be of good quality and well assembled. I did note the springs and spring bodies were not the same as what came out. The Suncore springs were thinner gage and had more turns than the Acura units that came out of the car. There was one minor disappointment in the units - one assembly arrived missing two of five mounting bolts. To remedy, I just re-used the old ones. I chose Suncore because they are the only US companies that make Quick Struts for the CL. I read mixed reviews about Suncore direct sales on the web, so I I chose to buy from Advance - I know Advance stands behind what they sell (at least on Brambleton AVE in Roanoke!). I did email Suncore before the purchase - to verify these would fit the S-type CL (Advance's site said they would, Suncore's website said they would not). Suncore responded to my email within minutes - and confirmed they'd work. So, good customer service in my experience, anyway. Install was straight forward (easier/quicker than a brake job!). The car rides like new, sits at the appropriate height, hugs the road, takes bumps well and the assemblies are quiet. Bear in mind, I am only a few hundred miles into them. Hopefully they'll last. I will update as time goes on. If they do, the Mazda is next!
