Old original starter starter to go out, decided it was time for a new one. Tried this one out, but did not last long (8 months). I think I will stick with Ford Original Part on this one (Motorcraft).

Mercury Grand Marquis 4.6 engine starter - surprised to find solenoid lead needed to be crimped to the old wire then heat shrunk covered with no explanation why old could not be used. Works 100%
