It fits fine on the transmission and it plugs in. It eliminated my shift problems on the odyssey. As other reviews have said... the wire is a bit too short. You can still use it and just secure it away from rubbing other areas...

2002 Honday Oddyssey: replacement switch due to recurring issue of not being able to move shifter out P. So far, the problem has been resolved. However, the connecting wires are up to 1 inch shorter than the original, so I was not able to use the supplied mounting harness or the old one. Also, for my van, the new mounting harness (hard plastic) is bent the wrong direction with the lower mounting bracket on the right side of the harness where mine is on the left. The harness is not reversible. I cut the old harness in two and used the lower section to mount the wires (there are two mounting brackets). With the shortness of the connecting wires, there is no slack; the wires held with one harness has no slack. Also, with no instructions, I bought a Haynes manual for the van; it was invaluable when it came to disconnecting the wires as the connector is in an area behind the wheel well that you cannot easily see. I had a helper who provided visual assistance by looking down into the engine compartment. This replacement took at least an hour with removing the securing clips taking up a lot of the time. I would recommend this part with a caveat.

Bought this to part to fix a P1706 engine code on my 2003 Honda Pilot. The part description said it's an exact fit for that car. NOT TRUE! As other reviewers have commented, the wire bundle is about 3 inches shorter than the OEM part. Couldn't run cable using original mounting points; just had to secure cable with a few Ty-Rap zip ties.
