No matter what I did,I could not get these to work....useless
This would probably be a good boot but like other people realized, I could not get this on without buying a $100-$200 tool. Unfortunately Advance did not have the tool to borrow/rent. I would have gladly paid them to rent one. I tried a cone shaped funnel as suggested but it didn't have enough elasticity to make it over my CV joint. Sorry.

The only thing I could find to fit an aftermarket axle that was on the car. If your e46 330XI has a front axle with a round inner carrier instead if the original triangle shaped driver that needs the adapter to fit boots, this will fit! I have had one tear but I am not sure what the reason was, probably a stick.
Very nice kit. You will require a special tool for the clamps and you will have to have a tool to stretch the boot over the axle. I use a long funnel. Coat it in oil, flip the boot inside out and slide it over the funnel. Works like a charm.
Makes no SENSE! It is not s split boot AND it's oversized to go over existing... So, how do you get it on?!?! Take the axle off? Ok, so then why not replace with a standard boot?!?! Or, this costs 27 or so... rebuild CV axle is 50, new is 70.....hmmmm
Bottom Line not recommended
