    Tip broke off in dipstick tube. A simple level check turned into having to drop the pan. Absolutely worthless tool.

    The plastic end on these Dorman brand dipsticks is too brittle. I actually tried 3 of them. The first broke as I was pulling it out of the trans fill tube. The second broke as I was putting it in. The third broke when I was checking it for flexibility when it was still in the package! ( Believe me, by then I was quite gentile with it.) When it breaks off in the tube, you can't get it out unless you drop the pan and use your broken tool to push the lost stub up out the way it came in. This is a hassle you don't need! If zero stars were an option, this product would deserve it! I wouldn't recommend it to a friend or an enemy.

    The tip at the end was not strong material- plastic will brakes soon if not careful. Cheap made material. Don't buy.
