My '97 Suburban wouldn't start. Ended up being a bad oil pressure sensor. The factory original O.P.S. lasted 22 years - 268, 845 miles. Installed one of these, and the Suburban fired right up...but oil pressure was low on the gauge. Cold reading was 25psi, and once the engine warmed up, it would only show 5psi at idle, and 'CHECK GAUGES' warning light came on in the dash. The Suburban previously ran 40-45psi cold, and 20-25psi warm at ide with the original sensor. Figuring the new pressure sensor was faulty, I got another one of them, and swapped it out. Exact same issue! Ordered the proper AC-Delco oil pressure sensor, and now it is fixed!! Back to 45psi cold and 25psi warm like it has been for years! Reading the other reviews, it seems I'm not the only one that had this problem. Oil pressure being off by 20psi is unacceptable!!

I can't recommend these on the 6.2/6.5 GM diesels, they don't read oil pressure correctly. and the contacts are weak. Thank goodness for the lifetime warranty, but I'm buying an AC Delco one and putting this one in the truck as an emergency spare.
