Bottom Line recommended

Part was listed as a Carquest component but was supplied as Cardone Select 81-158PB and is supposed to be an OE equivalent. We did note that the circuitry design is very different than the original but thought it was just updated for modern electronics technology. I have installed two of these so called "certified parts" now and have neither had the OE functionality. My original component had full functionality but periodically the wipers would not stop in the wash or single pulse wipe. The multi-function switch was changed when we thought the motor module only had contact switches which did not change anything. We cleaned out all the old dielectric compound and applied new when the first replacement pulse board was installed. The single wipe, wash, high and low speed functions worked fine but the wipers would not operate in the variable delay modes. Checked all the contacts and terminals, removed and reinstalled with the same results. Picked up a second board of the same part number with a different lot code on it and installed it. The second replacement board did not operate the wipers in the wash mode (only sprayed fluid) or in the variable delay modes. We ended up returning the boards and putting the original OE part back in while I try to source a non-defective pulse board.
Part works as good as original!!!! Hope it lasts as long!!! Installed easily in 98 Chevy Z-71..... Thanks for a great part....at a great price...
