Exactly what I expected
Put this Intermotor sensor on trying to save money and 1000 miles later it starts throwing the check engine code PO118 - high voltage on temp coolant sensor. Fortunately, Camry drivability was not too much affected as I was on a trip. Advance Auto would not refund due to it being an electrical part but would exchange it for a new sensor. After I got home, I decided to buy the TC sensor online from a Toyota dealership and now it runs really great, even better than when the Intermotor sensor was first installed and was not throwing the code. From now on, when it comes to sensors, I will always buy from an online Toyota dealership where you can usually get a discount of about 30% versus buying it over the counter at a nearby Toyota dealership. It will still be more expensive than from an auto parts store but it works SO MUCH BETTER ! No complaints about Advance Auto, I've used them before but some parts (particularly sensors and electrical need to be from Toyota or OEM (such as Denso).
