Working well so far on a 1989 Ford F150 4.9l inline 6 300ci with Mazda made overdrive 5 speed transmission. Not a fun job b/c the tranny has to be removed so inspect clutch and rear main seal while doing this job. Internet forums say some of these (of various brands) on the market last a long time, and some do not. My fingers are crossed. Also, when I picked this up in the store it looked a bit dirty and aged, perhaps from sitting. I asked the parts guy if he would order me in a different one from the warehouse as this is way too hard of a job to risk doing twice. He was good about it and did as I requested. Thanks for stepping up Advance Auto Parts!

Like many others, I assumed the quick disconnect issues with the original hydraulic clutch line and the new slave cylinder were operator errors. THEY WERE/ARE NOT. Do not be like me and buy this part without researching which Hydraulic Clutch Line you have. Look at the end of your existing line after disconnecting. If you have to slide a plastic ring down to depress the locking springs inside of the slave cylinder quick disconnect then this part WILL NOT WORK WITH YOUR EXISTING HYDRAULIC CLUTCH LINE. You MUST buy a NEW Hydraulic Clutch Line that will be accepted by the NEW quick disconnect hook-up on the NEW slave cylinder. I have not picked up my NEW Hydraulic Clutch Line (and Master Cylinder) yet, but I am hopeful that they will resolve this issue. Here's the link to the New Hydraulic Clutch Line needed for this Slave Cylinder: http://shop.advanceautoparts.com/p/carquest-clutch-new-clutch-line-85-203/15070135-P?searchTerm=hydraulic+clutch+line
