Much heavier and thicker metal than the cheap one that they sell. At first I bought the cheap one and it wore out it 3 months. Failed inspection because the steering was so sloppy from the cheap idler arm. This moog should last a long time.

R&R effort to accommodate wheel alignment: 1992, C1500, 2wd, 227,xxx-mi.: Replaced idler-arm, pitman-arm and inner tie-rod ends; all with Moog. All parts fit as designed. Before beginning, consider having a pitman-arm puller and pickle-fork on hand. Break-free all parts from the center link, then (first) drop the inner tie-rod ends, then remove the idler and pitman arm (no specific order). Reverse the order for reassembly. Note: Care should be taken to avoid dropping the idler-arm attaching bolts into the frame cavity. The Moog idler-arm and pitman-arm appear to be pregreased, the tie-rod ends did not. Grease all for good measure, (do not overgrease).

Bought the cheaper one and it failed within 3 months. The moog arm dwarfed the cheaper one in size and quality. You get what u pay for. Thank you moog!

Very disappointed with quality. Bolt and nut threads stripped when not much pressure was applied during installation. Wonder what would have happened if I was driving. No stars here.
