50/50 chance you'll get a good one. Replaced twice before getting a good one and it still isn't 100% accurate.

I replaced the old leaky oil sending unit on my 91 Silverado with this one. It looks identical and fit perfectly. As soon as I hooked up the wires it was showing I had good oil pressure.

Was cheaper to purchase online while I was standing at the parts counter...:-( Worked perfectly. Was a bit difficult to install on my 1992 ykon, but none the less once I hiokex it up and fired the truck up it worked perfectly. Hopefully this oil switch will last long tho it doesn't seem to have the same heavy duty quality as the oem switch that I removed. For the home mechanic make sure to put thread tape on the threads. Failure to do so will most likely leed to a leak for sure. Reccommend!

BWD usually has good products, I've bought the brand before, I read the reviews on this before I bought it and by the numbers looks like 1/5 people get a bad unit: I was the 1/5. I put it in the truck (1993 GMC K1500 5.7L) after my O.E. one finally died (was accurate, but was cracked so pressure on gauge started to spike). I was a little worried by the one bad review, which turned out to be true. Once i put it in the gauge went to 50 PSI right out the box, but don't let it fool you; Once i got on the highway and my truck warmed up, the gauge plummeted strait to 0 PSI. And over time it's gotten worse, anything under 1500 rpm and the gauge doesn't register, and when you take off the gauge does not operate smoothly like it should. To make sure it's the part and not my truck (no valve-train noise is occurring at anytime, indicating I still have oil pressure, mind you), I performed the test recommended by Chevrolet to test my gauge (unplug the unit, if the gauge shoots to past 60 psi, which mine did, the gauge and wiring are okay. If it plummets past zero, the gauge/wiring are at fault) and my gauge passed with flying colors. Not advance's fault, nor is BWD a bad company, but they really do need to fix the calibration on this part. Going to Chevrolet for an O.E. unit which I would recommend to everyone until BWD recalibrates these parts.

Diameter of inlet hole very small. Threads in but as RPM rose the gauge stopped working.
