This flex plate is correct for 5.8/351W engines with the E4OD automatic transmission. NOT the 4R70W transmission. And NOT the 5.0/302 engine as this flexplate has a 28OZ imbalance and the 5.0/302 engine has to have a 50OZ imbalance flex plate. The difference in flex plates is about a 1/4" in how far it pushes the torque converter back into the transmision, the mounting surface's between engine and torque converter are 1/2 for e4od and 3/16 for 4R70W from what Ive seen. I bought this flex plate because im swapping a 5.8l in place of the 5.0 that was in my 1995 f150 with the 4R70W transmission. Well this new flex plate is identical to the flexplate that was installed on the 5.8, the problem being its the same as the 5.8 flex plate that was in a truck with the E4OD transmission, and im mateing this engine to a 4R70W trans now.

Put 2 of them on my truck and neither 1 matches with the starter. Yes I have replace the starter as well. I would not recommend this product at all. Norwood I recommend any kind of customer service From advance auto parts. I've been let down by them more than once and thus?? is the last time.
