Works, but noisy, poor finish, and the wires (you have to splice in your old pigtail) were cut back so far and spliced with shrink tubing to the point where you couldn't match the wire colors. And yes, instead of running new wiring from the inside, the old wiring was trimmed back to the case and new wires spliced in. Then, you have to make another splice to add your old plug. Not a good setup. But it works and it's better than trying to find a 40-yr-old match in a boneyard.

I purchased a remanufactured Cardone wiper motor for my classic '66 Ford Fairlane 500. The wiper motor was an exact fit replacement and installed without any modifications. The 2 speed motor works great. The only gripe I have with the product is its appearance. The motor housing was poorly painted. For an everyday car it is fine but I have a restored car so I am a bit fussy with the appearance of replacement parts.

My wiper motor is 42 years old.The thing was so weak it would hardly operate my wipers.I had totally overhauled and detailed it.The brushes were hardly worn. All I needed from the rebuilt unit was the cannister containing the recharged mmagnets. Now the wipers function normally.
