I removed my old alternator and brought it in for the core charge credit upon the purchase of the new alternator. After installing the new alternator and starting the car, I discovered it was defective as it wasn't bolted together and starting grinding and arcing electricity. After removal, I further discovered that certain original components were either missing or exchanged for used components. This made me conclude that the unit I bought, which had been represented as brand new from the store, was actually an item returned by the original purchaser who purposely/deceptively exchanged certain new internal parts and components from the newly bought unit with inoperable parts from their failed unit and then returned what was disguised as the originally newly purchased unit for a full refund. Because the store in Plymouth didn't have an additional replacement they sent me 30 miles out of town to pick a replacement, which cost me mileage and time in excess of $200 to finally install an operable alternator. Those mileage and extra mechanical costs far out-weigh the original costs of the alternator.

Only issue was that the fan assembly was not in the correct order where the shims and washers were placed.

Great price. They even helped me change over the pulley from the bad alternator to the new one.
