Make sure to get the Felpro set, not the other ones. Make sure the o-ring is seated properly before tightening the bolts down.

Purchased this set for my wife's 1999 Chevrolet Suburban 5.7L. The box containing the gaskets and o-rings was sealed and clearly labled as being non-returnable once opened, so inspecting the product before buying let alone before using was out of the question, but I wasn't worried considering my past positive expereinces with Felpro. Upon opening the package, and inspecting, I noticed that the large o-ring seemed to be slightly thinner than the one I was replacing, but having already disassembled the oil filter adapter I was left with little choice but to give it a try. Guess what. I was right. The o-ring did not seal properly and within seconds of engine start up, the oil was gushing out. I decided that the best move would be to pay the additional price for dealer parts. On this it turns out I was wrong. While the dealer parts are indeed superior and fit correctly, the cost was actually less than 1/2 of the Felpro parts that didn't work. So from now on, I think I'll just stick with part #88893990 from my local GM dealership when I have to fix another Chevrolet 350 with a leaking oil filter adapter.
