I bought this to install an aftermarket Pioneer CD player into a 1999 GMC Sierra in place of the factory radio. The adapter kit had the pieces I needed, but if I hadn't messed with these type things before I would likely have NEVER figured out which pieces I was supposed to use and what I was supposed to do with them. They need to break this up into about 3 or 4 different kits that apply to much more specific years ranges of vehicles and provide clear instructions and piece labeling to tell you which pieces you need to use for your specific vehicle. All in all it worked and did what it was meant to do albeit at the cost of me having to scratch my head a little bit and play jigsaw puzzle to figure out and put together the pieces I needed to use. Just to give you an idea, the pieces included dated all the way back to the OLD OLD style radios with the needle tuner and big mechanical knob on each side. I had to cut and trim the plastic peices to make it applicable to the newer model truck. There aren't alot of other manufacturers that I know of that make these adapter kits, so I guess we just have to take them for what they are and use them the best we can.
