My application is a 1984 Town Car, with the single-row rad. I've now put the Carquest house brand Chinese-made rads from AAP in three vehicles, and I noticed two issues that have been the same each time. The rad cap cannot go on/come off smoothly and requires a lot of excessive force to push down to get it to come off (unlike the OE rads), and the 'ribs' aroung the inlet and outlet to help hold the hoses on are very small, so even with a hose clamp done up tightly, the hose can still slip off under the right conditions. The first issue is pretty minor, the second one is easily fixed with some RTV during installation. Now, with this application, there is a third issue I haven't found before. The rad does not fit the factory mount on one side. The end tank is larger than the factory end tank, so I had to alter the mount to accommodate it. These rads are just about the cheapest you can find in stores, and it shows, but if you're trying to get your beater on the road leak-free at the lowest cost, they can't be beat. Just don't expect perfection. The aluminum is extremely thin and flexible, unlike in higher priced brands like Spectra Premium. You can easily bend the rad if you're not careful, and you'll see this when attaching the hardware to it to hold on the fan shroud.
