This part number DS111P is unfortunately a total piece of junk. Buy the DS111 instead - for $2 more it actually works. The problem with the DS111p is the plastic to metal junction of the housing is loose and when it moves (and it does because you step on this switch) the connections are momentarily lost. Also, if you measure the contact resistance for the closed terminals it is very high which is a real problem on a high current switch like this. Your lights will dim. I bought 3 of these switches from 2 different stores - each one was bad...like a cruel joke. The DS111 however is a good piece
