I buy a lot of things from advance auto. This one is sub par adverse. Are used $20 speed perks to purchase this item and when I inquired about returning, they would not give me my speed perks back. Very disappointed.

Sent the daughter to get some new lug nuts , came back with these. Right in the trash they went, taper is only maybe a 1/16 th and the width is tiny. Could see them causing a rim to fail, they make such a small contact area.

Junk. After 1 month they showed surface rust. Also when removed some of the threads in them pulled out(they were correctly torqued). Went and exchanged them. Asked why they would rust and was told it must be a isolated incident and not to worry, lifetime warranty. Well less than 6 months later they are rusted shot and once again losing threads. Junk junk junk.

I bought a set of these for my son's car is his factory lug nuts we're old and decrepit looking. Within a month they started to rust. We took them off to do some service on his brakes and I noticed that there were curls of metal laying on the stud that we're not from the stud the lug nuts themselves were disintegrating. I took them in and they swapped them out happily for another set and I happen to mention about the finish and he says don't worry they have a lifetime warranty. About 4 months later they were so Rusty they look like they were 50 years old so I bought my son of a set of my guard nuts and will be returning this set. Junk

Dorman makes good quality parts, and I am guessing I will definitely get my money worth out of them. They seem likely to chip or flake after several uses or immediately if you use an impact, but the price was great. Gorilla makes a slightly better product but is around $100 for a set. I also got these for a 4 lug car and only needed 16 nuts, now I can sell the 4pc wheels locks and the key to even get a few bucks back since I can't stand using locks. If they want to steal your wheels, they will.

I needed a set of locking lug nuts for a 2005 Chevy Impala LS 3.8 litre. I went to Advance and in 15 minutes had them selected and on the car before I left the lot. They went easily with no issues. The sales person was very helpful as well. I gave these 4 stars because they are of average quality but 12.99 is a reasonable price. I did not want to pay $30.00 or more for a high end set. These will do fine.

I put these lug nuts on all for of my tires. I had one front wheel actually come off and roll down the street while making a turn. All 4 nuts on this tire were striped out with all of the lug threads in excellent condition. Replacing the lugs with ones from another vehicle to get home, the other front lugs failed and that wheel almost fell off. Looking at one of the rear tires, there were two of these nuts that were loose. When I took them off they were also conpletely stripped.
