Bought this unit to replace a tired slow running motor. After cleaning and luricating the whole wiper assembly. This motor would barely run. I spent a little more money and bought a brand new motor. Works great now.

The motor looked like it had been installed in a vehicle already. Also the mounting grommets were missing. I really dont know if I got a new motor.

I BOUGHT THIS WIPER MOTOR FOR MY 1962 GMC 2500 SERIES V6 305CU (5.0 LTR). PER ALL INTERNET INFO IT WAS NOT SUPPOSED TO FIT!!!!!!!! IT FITS PERFECT !!!! THIS WIPER MOTOR IS A 2 SPEED . MY ORIGINAL MOTOR IS A SINGLE SPEED .THE HOUSINGS ARE IDENTICAL!!!!.I SIMPLY REPACED THE ORIGINAL SINGLE SPEED WIPER MOTOR SWITCH AND REPLACED IT WITH A 2 SPEED WIPER MOTOR SWITCH.I THEN ADDED ANOTHER/NEW "HOT"CIRCUIT FROM MY FUSE PANEL TO THE NEW 2 SPEED SWITCH.I THEN CONNECTED THE NEW WIRES TO THE NEW CARDONE 2 SPEED WIPER MOTOR. I HAD TO USE A VOLT/OHMS METER TO DETERMINE WHERE THE WIRES ARE ATTACHED.ALSO VERY IMPORTANT!!!! I SAVED ABOUT 10 HOURS WORK BY CUTTING A PANEL ON THE FIREWALL (ENGINE SIDE)APROX 3' X 8"SO THAT I COULD DISCONNECT THE WIPER MOTOR SHAFT FROM THE WIPER ARM ASSEMBLY.
