The part does the job, plain and simple. If your windshield wipers are acting up it's likely the wiper pulse board. In my case this was a direct replacement and it was an easy swap as well as the fact that my windshield wipers now work properly again. Before they were either not working at all, or they would continue to work even after being shut off. The only down side to this part is the delay function is completely different from the OEM unit. The delay on this part does not activate the wipers at the first click, you will have to wait about 30 to 45 seconds before any action occurs. Not good when there is just a light mist of rain. After looking at the old OEM unit I had noticed there were a few cracks in the solder joints. I have already reparied the solder joints and am likely to try the old repaired unit before exchanging the replacement under warranty when it goes bad. Either way, it still fixes the issue.

Fits exactly as the original, but does not work the same as the original. With the original when you turn the wipers on to delay you get one pulse then it goes into delay mode, when you first turn on the wipers with this board you get nothing for about 30 seconds then it goes into delay mode not a big deal but still not the same.

Product was a perfect fit. OK instructions. I recommend to just loosen the bottom screw that is harder to reach, it makes it less likely to drop the screw when trying to line it up. Buyer has to provide their own silicone to seal it, but not a big deal.

Wipers & washer going haywire? Get this now. +1 for the above comments. Couldn't be easier. Use a screwdriver gently between the black molex plug and the aluminum bracket to pry the old board out. Slap the new one in, dab some silicone around the NEW cover, screw in the shiny new Torx screws (both included) and you're all set. Fix that safety hazard now! An unexpected bonus is the washer fluid pump has alot more power now, the spray shoots over the whole windshield again... who knew?

92 Suburban: Started the truck while wipers were frozen to the glass, and wipers were on. Now I have no High speed (runs the same speed as low), but do have low speed and intermitent. Does the high speed run through this board???

My wipers were frozen to the windshield and I had the wiper switch 'ON'. Now I only have high speed, and wipers stay in the position they were at when I shut them off. Replacing the delay module corrected the problems. Some problems are caused by cracked\poor solder joints. Other times the 2 contacts that the slip ring rotates on get corroded and can be cleaned-Best to just spend $25.00 and fix it right. Edit-1994 GMC Yukon GT.

With reference to your inquiry on this Dorman - Help Wiper Motor Pulse Board - part# 88136, the module may be the problem for the wipers working only on low speed and intermittent. However, I would suggest taking your vehicle to a certified mechanic for a proper diagnosis before buying and having parts installed that may not (solve/be) the problem. It might be a bad ground to the wiper module or a bad TIPM, the underhood fuse block. If the ground is bad (good chance), try jumpering a good ground source directly to the wiper connector for test purposes. If you see less than system voltage coming out of the TIPM relays that supply these outputs are electronic and will require replacement of the TIPM in most cases.
