Read previous reviews of this item before purchasing, and agree whole-heartly that this one is quiter than the original. Be sure to brace the window in the up postion and the replacement is very easy.

I was surprised to see the need to tap the holes. This window motor goes into a tailgate for a bronco and is very tight.

Thought I would have to remove the regulator but I just drilled two holes and removed the bolts through them. Removed and installed the motor through the speaker mounting hole. One and a half hours from start to finish. Could do it again in thirty minutes. Works like new!

I just got a 1987 Ford Econoline Van and the first day driving home I couldn't get the window back up. The Advance Auto website made it easy to find what I needed, and it seems to be working fine. I just hope it lasts.
