Had plenty of power for the heavy 91 camaro window. Don't worry about the people that say they don't last long. The OEM ones don't last long either so buy the least expensive one. Either one will only last a few years or more if your lucky. Better to spend 30 every couple years than pay the dealer their outragous prices. Here's a link to an easy way to replace its how I did it, worked perfectly. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zSEBmF9mVtY only thing he left out was you can do it with the window raised if you put a large bolt or allen wrench in the hole in the window regulator to keep the window from falling down. Its the only hole you can see in the regulator can't miss it. Right above where the two pieces of the regulator cross.

The included instructions aren't correct, throw them away. Also, the included bracket isn't the correct one. The whole old unit including the lift hardware has to be completely removed from the car, the mounting bracket has to be removed (pop rivets drilled out) and mounted to the new motor. Works great once we reinstalled it. Be sure to duct tape the window completely up (closed) or there won't be room to work.

Comments about ACI Window Lift Motor:

After weeks of having the passenger window not work and stuck in the DOWN position, on my 93 S10 Blazer, I finally got it fixed. It was easier to do than expected. It's as powerful and 'sounds' just like the original. Some are complaining about the bracket. The bracket doesn't fit all applications. I had to use the original bracket on mine. I don't consider that a con per se, though it could be better explained in the instructions. That doesn't keep me from giving it a 5 star review because the MOTOR WORKS GREAT. I didn't buy it for the bracket. I have a rear window motor that is getting very, very slow just like this one did so I will be replacing it soon and will be easier now that I know what is involved. This is a great quality product.

Comments about ACI Window Lift Motor:

The instructions supplied with this motor, those on the Internet and the ones in the Pontiac manual did not address the methodology required for a convertible window motor replacement. Much more involved and time-consuming that any other window motor I have replaced. So I wrote new instructions should the other motor fail. Plan to buy fasteners separately. Once installed, the motor raises the window faster than the OEM, but that may be because I regreased the guides.

Comments about ACI Window Lift Motor:

This motor has plenty of power and speed. I've owned my 1986 blazer since it was new, that's 25 years, so far! I've been through a number of window motors in that time, and always found new parts from the dealership too expensive. They're cheap enough at the junk yard, but that's time consuming and you never know how long they will last. I'll never waste my time at another junk yard! With my new replacement part from Advance Auto, I cut the time in half (not having to find and remove from a junker), and spent less than half of the dealership cost! Do yourself a favor and save the time, cost and aggravation and buy this part for your ride.
